The Irish Wolfhound Association of New England (IWANE) is dedicated to the responsible stewardship of this ancient breed. Our mission spans from education and health research to rescue and breed standard advocacy.
We foster a community where owners and enthusiasts come together to celebrate the ‘Gentle Giants’ that have been the companions of chieftains and kings for centuries.

October 10 and 11, 2026
Coursing Ability Test (CAT)
Our fall CAT event will be held at 359 Hackleboro Road in Canterbury, New Hampshire. All breeds are welcome to run with an AKC or Canine Partner registration. Dogs must be at least one year old to compete.
This is a rain or shine event. Please plan accordingly. Bring your own shade and chairs. Spectators are welcome.
The event is on private property and no smoking is permitted. Please carry in and carry out. See you there!
Quarterly Member Meeting
Our next general membership meeting will be held at the Annual IWANE Fun Day in Salisbury, NH. All members are encouraged to attend.
