Update – March 12, 2023

Our next member meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023. This date change does not conflict with travel to the nationals or other conformation and specialty shows scheduled for April. More details with the Zoom link will be sent to members.

Annual dues notices have been sent and all members should have received their dues and any trophy sponsors by now. Reminders will be going out to members this week to those who have not yet paid. A final notice will go out prior to the annual meeting.  Once all members have been confirmed we’ll send out the updated membership list for all to review and ensure your information is accurate. Any changes to address, phone number and email can be sent to the secretary at any time. We are asking members who use PayPal to ensure you add a note to your dues and trophy sponsorship for us to ensure the cost is applied to the trophy cost.  If you do not indicate this in the comment section we cannot account for your sponsorship easily.

One change we are implementing this year is that dues payments be sent to the secretary.  This complies with the accounting principle of separation of duties which is a key concept in placing internal controls over the Club’s assets.  In other words, no one person has control over the transactions.  This information will be explained in the notice.

We have confirmed sponsorship shows for 2023 and have listed them in the Calendar of Events tab. As additional sponsorships are approved we will update this section. Also note the Specialty 2023 tab. More information, including the premium list, will be posted as it becomes available.

We will be continuing our Meet & Greet walks this year.  If anyone has a suggestion for a location or would like to host a meeting of the hounds, please let me know and I’m happy to help facilitate and get the message out.  The two we had in 2022 in Maine and Vermont, respectively, were a big hit with those looking to meet an Irish Wolfhound “in person”.  We continue to get people looking to meet and learn more about our hounds.

Our IWANE coffee mugs will be offered in limited supply at the Annual Specialty. These mugs are the perfect size for a hot cup of joe, tea or anything, really! Get them while they last!!

Mugs are 11 ounces.

Below are the updated IWANE membership applications. Please download the editable PDF and send to the IWANE secretary via email or address listed on the form. Email is preferable.
